Description:
SUMMARY
The Admin & Accounts Payable Assistant will primarily focus on accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers for goods and services. This position will also involve reception duties and provide support for general administrative tasks, data entry and tracking, while contributing to a welcoming front office environment and overall office efficiency.
Reporting to: Accounting Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year related Administrative or Accounts Payable experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- General Math Skills including understanding of applying percentages, computing discounts, multiplication, division, adding, subtracting, etc.
- Computer skills needed. Use of Microsoft Office is an asset and experience in SAP software preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills (ie: with management, vendors, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Possesses a friendly and professional disposition.
- Works well in a team environment
- Successful candidate must be able to sit at work for long periods of time and ability to lift up to 10 lbs when necessary
Responsibilities:
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in all financial reporting
- Enter bills, credit cards, and reimbursements ensuring timely and accurate results
- Process transactions, invoices and assist in streamlining the accounts payable process
- Adhere to local, provincial, and federal financial regulations and requirements
- Greet incoming people and helping address their inquiries
- Answer incoming communication or calls
- Stocking kitchen and other consumables
- Perform clerical duties, including word processing, maintaining filing systems, mail pick up and distribution, ordering office supplies, and receiving packages
- Adhoc duties as required
