Reporting to the Director, Student Success Services, the Administrative Assistant assumes responsibility for the administrative support responsibilities for the Saskatoon Campus. The Administrative Assistant performs administrative support duties and is responsible for a number of administrative and financial processes. This position is within the scope of a CUPE bargaining unit; therefore, it will be filled in accordance with Article 9 of a CUPE Collective Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Grade 12 Diploma; Minimum one-year Office Education certification or equivalent education, and two years related office experience required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
CUPE Pay Grade 8 - $46,677 - $52,208.

Responsibilities:
- Perform primary receptionist duties for the student success services staff and various academic programs, and provide first contact assistance to guests and visitors and maintain and track data using a variety of computer programs.
- Data entry as needed.
- Assess incoming phone calls and schedule appointments or direct to appropriate staff or department.
- Prepare, record, distribute and send correspondence and maintain an orderly and welcoming professional environment.
- The Administrative Assistant may be assigned additional units / departments or reassigned to other academic departments or centralized duties specific to the duties within the scope of the Administrative Assistant to meet operational needs.
- Assists students by determining who can best provide information needed; provides basic and initial assistance to students with questions about classes, registration, permissions, etc.; uses established guidelines (information in course catalogs, departmental and university documents, and established policies and procedures), and makes appointments for students with academic advisors.
