Description:
The Practice Development Team supports learning in practice to a range of clinical staff, including student nurses, newly qualified nurses, nursing associates, midwives, and return-to-practice nurses. The Team also provides core skills training to new and current clinical staff and support them in their roles.
The Administration Apprentice will work as part of the PD Administration Team, providing essential and efficient administrative support to the wider PD Team.
The role will offer opportunities to learn and develop skills in organisation, communication, teamwork and office administration within a healthcare setting. This apprentice role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain administrative knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment, supporting a dynamic team that plays a vital role in developing clinical staff across the Trust.
Administration Apprenticeship - Customer Service
15 month Fixed Term Contract
30 – 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday

UHCW NHS Trust is offering Apprenticeships to candidates keen to start a career in Administration - Customer Service within the NHS.
The Customer Service Apprenticeship programme will provide post holders with the opportunity to learn vocational skills by working as part of a busy Administration team, providing administrative support, whilst also studying towards a nationally recognised qualification in Customer Service.
Working under supervision, the post holder will be required to achieve work-related competencies over the 15 month period in order to achieve the full Apprenticeship.
The full Apprenticeship framework will require post holders to complete:
Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service
Functional Skills - Maths and English (Level 1) if not already achieved

Post holders will be employed by UHCW on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract for the duration of the Apprenticeship programme, and will enroll with a local education provider to undertake the Customer Service qualification. Hours of work will be within the core office hours of 8.00am-6.00pm, working a maximum of 7.5 hours a day Monday to Friday for a minimum of 30 hours a week, and will include time to attend a study day on a monthly basis.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, dedicated and able to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the Apprenticeship programme. You must also be willing to work within a busy Administrative team.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE:
Aged 16+
Resident in the UK/ EEA for the last three years
Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education
Respond to day-to-day enquiries referring to appropriate staff as necessary.
Process allocated workload on a daily basis.
Liaise with internal departments and on occasion external agencies where required.
Assist with maintaining manual and electronic filing systems as required by the department.
Utilise relevant Trust IT systems, as determined by the role, ensure all relevant patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines.
Undertake basic administrative tasks as required.
Input data onto computerised systems as required by the department.
Assist with the distribution of incoming/outgoing post.
Work within Trust and departmental procedures to ensure that standards and deadlines are met.
Provide appropriate cover in the absence of other members of the team
