As the Tautāwhi | Administration Assistant / Receptionist, your mission is to sprinkle some administrative magic at Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education! Joining forces with our amazing team, you’ll dive into daily tasks with enthusiasm, making sure everything runs as smoothly as a well-choreographed dance. Picture yourself as the friendly face at the reception, the superhero who handles visitors and callers with efficiency and charm. This role is your ticket to a customer-service adventure, ensuring that everyone - from staff to curious visitors - leaves with smiles and satisfaction. If you’re ready to be the wizard behind the administrative curtain, we want you on our team!

You will be an experienced individual with at least 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative or reception support role in a medium to large organisation along with:

  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to cope with competing demands.
  • Demonstrates resilience and organisational skills, including ability to set priorities, manage time and plan, work to meet deadlines, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Teams.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service for students and staff members.
  • A good knowledge of the tertiary education sector is preferable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • An alignment with our organisation’s values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
