Description:

The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SNAM) within the Faculty of Health delivers training across multiple sites in Cornwall, Exeter and Plymouth. The School is currently seeking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Administration Assistant based on our Truro Campus to provide cross site placement and programme administrative support. The post will be located in the Knowledge Spa based in Treliske Hospital (Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust) although travel to other sites may be required on an adhoc basis.
Under the direction of the Senior Administrator and Programme Administrator and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a student focused, integrated delivery of cost effective and efficient programme and practice placement administrative support service.
The tasks will include front line contact with students and responding to their queries, processing student travel claims and timesheets and updating student absences. Alongside Programme Administrators, you will assist in maintaining student records, monitoring attendance at mandatory sessions, updating programme documentation and supporting the allocation of practice placements using a variety of IT packages. In addition, minute taking at Subject Assessment Panels and Award Boards, Student presented meetings and Programme Committees.
The role requires a flexible attitude in an ever-changing environment with good team working, organisational skills, IT and keyboard skills, the ability to identify and seek resolutions to problems, and be able to work within tight deadlines. Effective communication skills and use of initiative are essential. Experience in a student related environment is preferred.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37 hours a week.
