Description:
At Hoani Waititi Marae, we’re on the lookout for an Administrator who will serve as the cornerstone of our administrative endeavors, offering crucial support to both our teams and community members alike. Your responsibilities will encompass managing data processing, handling reporting tasks, and addressing administrative needs, including intricate whānau referrals. Your role will play a pivotal part in fostering positive relationships, preserving the mana of Hoani Waititi Marae, and ensuring the welfare of our community. As the welcoming presence for our visitors, you’ll extend Manaaki and make a truly meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive and highly efficient administration services, including document management, stakeholder relationships management, and email management.
- Build trusting relationships with team members and whānau to provide comprehensive administrative support.
- Assist with business planning, risk assessment, and financial management as directed.
- Ensure internal and external reportage requirements are met and submitted in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate cultural competence by actively participating in tikanga-based activities and promoting Te Reo and Tikanga Māori.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and participate in cultural activities as per our Cultural Training Policy.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Commitment to Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong report writing and analytical skills are desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation, planning, and coordination.
- Knowledge of community and service networks in the Waitākere region.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Full driver’s license is essential.
