The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person’s needs.
An opportunity is now available for an Administration Officer to join the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health Service team, in a Permanent Part time role, located in Penrith.
The (CYF- MHS) provides mental health services to children, young people and their families from the perinatal period up until early adulthood. The service includes Safe Start, Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS), Whole Family Team (WFT) and the five teams making up the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS); the Liaison team, Assertive Response and Outreach (ARO), Assessment and Therapy Team (A &T), Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) and Got It! (Getting on Track in Time) Team.
The Administrative Officer will work as part of the Got It! multidisciplinary team which is situated in the CYMHS based in Penrith. Your role will provide Administrative support to the Got It! team to deliver specialist mental health early intervention services for children in Kindergarten to Year 2 who display emerging conduct problems. Within this position you may also provide administrative support to other services in the CYF-MHS portfolio as required, additionally, this role will perform a range of administrative responsibilities including customer service, team support, resource management, and general clerical duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated high level computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and email programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and under minimal supervision.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
