Description:

The Communities & Primary Care Clinical Services Group Merthyr & Cynon ILG are looking to appoint a part time Administration Officer to work within Hosted Services in the Lymphoedema Service.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients accessing the service. Therefore the post holder will provide a high standard of communication and customer care. They will liaise directly with patient who will access the service.
There are time limitations to this work therefore having the ability to deal with priorities has to be acknowledged.
The post holder will be enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate who will take up the opportunity of working within an established administration team. They will work closely with the clinical multi-disciplined team within the service. They will play an integral part in ensuring that the patient journey through the Lymphoedema will be seamless and efficient.
The post holder will have the ability to provide a wide range of administration and secretarial services. They will have a range of qualifications, experience and knowledge that can be applied to the role.
The main purpose of this role is to provide a range of administration services for processing patient referrals, patient follow up arrangements are processed
Following attendance at the nurse led clinic, the requirement for the administration officer to produce medical correspondence to ensure patient care is provided in a timely manner.
Key to achieving this will be the need to understand and be able to use a range of clinical and patient information systems. They will require a sound knowledge of using Microsoft office packages, have excellent communication and organisational skills.
The candidate will have the ability to undertake audio typing for producing and processing clinic letters therefore excellent typing/keyboard skills are necessary.
It would be an advantage if the post holder was familiar with NHS information and clinical systems. They will need to know the principles of Referral to Treatment times and have knowledge or understanding of the processes for RTT.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
