Description:

The Geelong Clinic is a private psychiatric hospital that offers a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems, located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions.
The Geelong Clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, administration and domestic services staff. The hospital is a 73 bed facility and has recently undergone some exciting renovations and expansions. We also offer free car parking onsite and a variety of staff benefits.

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Previous reception and administration experience
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in the health industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
  • WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)

Responsibilities:

AS AN ADMINISTRATION OFFICER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: -

  • Manage a busy reception desk
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
