Primary objective
Responsible for the coordination, collation and monitoring of corporate activities, contributing to the development of and
providing advice to clients on corporate policy, processes and procedures.
Context statement
This role requires the applicant to have a strong client focus, innovation, attention to detail, and sound organisational skills
to respond to changing priorities.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of reports, briefs, and project schedules, including the review of policies,
procedures and documents.
2. Monitor projects and work schedules for the team and a range of committees.
3. Provide secretarial and administrative support to a range of projects and committees.
4. Coordinate the Governance and Risk unit’s annual, quarterly and monthly reporting obligations.
5. Develop and/or assist to create information and education material for Governance and Risk related intranet pages.
6. Monitor and maintain compliance registers and records related to Corporate Policy, WHS and Emergency Management.
7. Undertake and report on research/projects and compliance reviews.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Sound written and oral communication skills with strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to proof-read
documents, well developed customer service skills and the ability to interpret information, prepare procedures, minutes,
reports and other written documents.
2. Well-developed organisation and administrative skills, including work experience coordinating information and
responses for reports and meetings, maintaining positive relationships, managing project progression and prioritising
tasks.
3. Experience working in a high-volume environment with competing priorities, including the ability to manage individual
workload while assisting others, working under pressure, with commitment to critical deadlines and maintaining quality
of product.
4. Demonstrated ability to work with initiative and limited supervision as part of a small team to effectively manage a range
of tasks with changing priorities and learn through experience.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint), experience in document and file
management, including working with confidential information, having a high standard of word processing skills, including
speed, accuracy, formatting and document presentation.
Desirable
1. Experience with Territory Records Manager (TRM) or a records management system.
2. Prior work experience or qualifications in administration management, governance, work, health and safety or policy.
