The Southampton Children’s Hospital team are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our administration team in the role of Administration Team Leader.

Southampton Children’s Hospital supports families with emergency care needs, highly specialist treatments and pioneering care with an excellent national and international reputation.
We deliver our local and specialist services through 10 wards including a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit, an Outpatient Department, Day Unit and Specialist Centre. We have a strong team of specialist nurses and advanced nurse practitioners.

You will lead a team of Patient Administrators including all stages of recruitment, retention, attendance, performance management and annual appraisals.
You will set expectations regarding levels of customer service and ensure all staff understand these and maintain them.
You will ensure workload is allocated fairly across all teams and staff work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the patient and the clinical team they are supporting.
You will monitor the performance of the team in relation to achieving targets such as national waiting list targets.
You will demonstrate experience in working in a customer focussed environment with good knowledge across a range of admin processes.
You will be a diplomatic, calm and adaptable individual who can build and maintain sound working relationships.
You will be an articulate communicator and have the ability to engage a team using different leadership styles.
You will be able to assimilate information quickly and share best practice with your teams
