Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a skilled and independent Administrative Assistant 3 to provide advanced administrative and executive support to two Associate Deans in Diversity and Inclusion and Institutional Wellness within the School of Medicine.
This position plays a critical role in managing the daily operations of the Associate Deans’ office and will streamline operations, enhance efficiencies, ensure seamless coordination, and program support between two vital departments.

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the calendars and schedules of the two Associate Deans, including scheduling appointments and meetings, coordinate agendas and prepare for executive meetings,
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the Associate Deans’ offices, responding to inquiries, appropriately directing staff members, analyze problems, initiate solutions.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal and external senior leadership at the university and affiliates.
  • Utilize project management skills, plan, and monitor project deliverables and timelines.
  • Perform research activities, analyze, and synthesize data and develop reports.
  • Communicate diversity initiatives, support institutional training on Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Serve as lead to plan, draft and compose materials and communications, coordinate, and manage events, meetings, special activities, programs, web content updates, and curriculum development.
  • Assist and maintain budgets; perform clerical accounting functions; project financials and communicate concerns; and arrange and coordinate travel.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
