Are you a master at juggling multiple tasks and helping people stay organized? Are you ready to step in to provide top-notch administrative support to our dynamic technology leadership team? If so, then the administrative assistant role at Best Buy is one for you!
As an administrative assistant you will provide comprehensive support to senior leaders by being adept at managing calendars, coordinating meetings, handling confidential information, and assisting with various projects. You will collaborate closely with the executive assistant from the Tech & eComm department to coordinate tasks and receive guidance.
In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do as an administrative assistant:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple directors’ calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Arrange and prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, presentations, and necessary documentation. Ensure that meeting rooms are equipped, and logistics are arranged appropriately
  • Handle all aspects of travel planning and logistics, including international travel, flight bookings, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and visa arrangements as needed
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of large events, such as recognition ceremonies, team-building activities, and company-wide celebrations. Ensure smooth logistics, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to budget constraints
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of directors’ expenses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or similar role, with demonstrated ability to support executives and senior leadership
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the adaptability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software like MS Teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focused attitude ready to help others around you be successful
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Passion/ interest in technology and industry trends is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
