Job Description
Administrative Assistant is a self-starter with strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing and coordinating the administrative needs of the team.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people of all backgrounds and levels of comprehension including managers, employees, customers, customers regarding sensitive or confidential issues
  • Ability to work with others to foster a respectful workplace and an atmosphere of cooperationand teamwork; create a work environment that is open to maintaining positive relationships
  • Skilled at building, developing, mentoring, and leading in a way that promotes the Cando culture and its values of safety, growth, innovation, and employee/customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, be self-motivated, innovative, and able to be
  • responsible in the decision-making process; ability to think pro-actively and strategically
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the skill to adapt easily to other software systems
  • Demonstrated information gathering skills used to find and identify essential information

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary certification in office or business administration an asset
  • 1 - 3 years experience working in either Oil & Gas, Rail Industries, or a similar industry
  • Experience with Onboarding/New Hire presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Superintendent with daily administrative tasks
  • Manage customer and employee enquiries in a courteous, expedient, and professional manner
  • Provide support to our operational sites in the region,
  • Coordinate recertification training and submit certificates to Safety Centre.
  • Provide support and assist with monthly operational KPI Reports.
  • Coordinate and conducting onboarding sessions for all new hires.
