Description:
Cary Estate Planning, an estate planning and estate administration law firm with offices in Cary, Raleigh, Wake Forest, and Chapel Hill, is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to work in our Cary office. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable exposure to the legal field and contribute to the functioning of a dynamic law firm.
Our ideal candidate doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves, getting things done, and contributing meaningfully to our operations. They understand that sometimes copying, scanning, and inventory may not be glamorous and fancy, but it’s integral to keep our busy team organized and moving forward.
We are looking for a team member who embodies our Core Values: Client-First, Teamwork, Integrity, and Authenticity. We need our team member to be able to work every day in our Cary office from 9:30 am-3:30 pm.Compensation:
$15 hourlyResponsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting clients, firm visitors, and vendors
- Maintaining inventory for all of our offices
- Sorting, scanning, and delivering mail and communicating received mail through Slack channels
- Assisting Legal Assistants and Paralegals with administrative tasks such as downloading documents and preparing outgoing mail
- Printing and preparing documents for estate planning signing appointments
- Participating as a witness in signing appointments
- Maintaining an organized and professional office space
Qualifications:
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with office equipment, including copiers and postal machines
- Solid understanding of clerical tasks such as scanning/copying/printing and document management
- Comfortable using basic computer functions for document handling (downloading, saving, and naming files)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
