REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Minimum one year office/clerical experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass background investigation, truth verification examination and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers telephone, electronic, and in-person communication inquiries from the courts and public concerning Court and Transport functions.
  • Distributes court paperwork concerning inmates; notarize documents for criminal filings. Coordinates staffing, vehicle, and trial boards.
  • Prepares afternoon docket and assigns inmates to holding cells in the courthouse.
  • Monitors holding cell cameras for potential emergencies. Respond to intercom calls from inmates in holding cells. Radios dispatch for all inmate movement; announces emergencies.
  • Acts as command post during critical and non-critical incidents to include assessing courthouse cameras.
  • Verifies warrants utilizing the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Colorado Crime Information Center (CCIC) to include criminal and driving history.
  • Collects and verifies information from the Colorado State Data Access System.
  • Maintains office inventory and orders supplies. Monitors budget for the section.
  • Maintains log of significant activities and of vehicle transports; maintains daily and monthly statistical reports.
  • Creates and maintains various forms and spreadsheets.
  • Respond to inmate requests (kites), to include communicating with judicial staff to coordinate court appearances.
  • Performs other duties as required.
