Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The administrative assistant works with the Nursing Professional Development Practitioner in the Center for Professional Development Innovation and Research to meet training needs for employees of Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High school graduate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member

Preferred:

  • 2 years office management experience preferred

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shift- 8:00am- 4:00pm
  • Monday- Friday (with flex hours occasionally to meet department needs)
  • Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assists Nurse Educator with tasks related to programs presented and orientation programs
  • Responsible for data entry and the generation of compliance reports and statistics for the hospital
  • Provides the documentation of attendance at required annual review programs to support compliance for regulatory or licensing agencies and accrediting organizations
  • Compiles statistics and prepares periodic reports for administration and management
  • Work in collaborative manner with various departments to meet departmental needs
  • Orders and maintains inventory of office/training supplies and equipment
  • Answers the telephone and accurately takes and relays messages
  • Prepares training materials under guidance of Educator
  • Maintains unit printers, fax machines, manuals, files, and bulletin boards
  • Displays flexibility in a variety of work assignments
  • Types correspondence, reports, memoranda, and all related material for department staff as requested
  • Participates in hospital / departmental committees and task forces as assigned
