Job Description
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant for Public Funded Research Projects (m/f/d) in part time for a limited period of 2 years initially.
You will support our team with tasks in the areas of Administration, Accounting, and Reporting of German and European public funded research projects.
In particular:
- Support preparation of non-scientific aspects of new research project proposals
- Examination of expenditure according to eligibility guidelines of funding programs
- Support project budget administration and monitoring
- Conduct financial reporting to German and European funding bodies
- Support preparation of project audits on financial statements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed vocational training in business administration or Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline
- Work experience, ideally in the area of accounting
- Experience in the administrative support of research projects would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good command of both German and English
- Other language skills, especially Japanese are of advantage
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Strong work ethic combined with high quality standards
- High organizational skills and flexibility
Responsibilities:
- Internal R&D promotion and dissemination support: e.g. Internal R&D dissemination events and R&D newsletter
- Support and organization of internal trainings for public funded project team members
- Flexible support in technology planning activities
