Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Mississauga location.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide administrative support to branch staff and management
  • Perform basic bookkeeping functions
  • Review and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Match packing slips to invoices and code for distribution
  • Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence materials for the management team
  • May provide information to customers such as statements, POD’s, etc.
  • May provide support to corporate head office
  • May answer and direct inbound calls to the branch
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Require:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an office administration role preferred
  • Post secondary education in business administration preferred
  • Excellent Customer Service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Able to work in a primarily sedentary role in an open concept office space with limited lifting to 20 lbs
  • Heavy duty parts knowledge or background an asset
