Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Provides administrative support for administration, faculty, and staff.
  2. Provides information regarding the health science programs, by phone, in person, and through written correspondence. Advises prospective students regarding whether transcripts and ACT scores have been received.
  3. Tracks application data used in the selection of applicants for health science programs classes, based on criteria set by the program. Corresponds with applicants accepted, denied and re-admitted to the programs.
  4. Creates and maintains files on health science students who apply for and are accepted into programs on the Ridgeland campus.
  5. Creates and maintains program files. Collects, maintains and compiles data for reporting to accrediting agencies. Assist program chair in assimilation of data. Assist in production of Accrediting Reports for IHL, and other accrediting bodies. Assists with the maintenance of clinical contracts for various agencies within the health science programs.
  6. Requisitions office/health science lab supplies and testing materials. Monitors to see that all supplies are received. Corresponds with purchasing and accounts payable to see that purchase orders are completed.
  7. Order and maintain inventory.
  8. Build classes as required in Banner.
  9. Run daily and weekly reports for maintenance of instructional procedures.
  10. Maintain personnel files and credentials.
  11. Process graduation applications for program chair to analyze.
  12. Assist with instructor evaluation process as needed.
  13. Organize and assist with CTE and college functions and events.
  14. Assist with registration and other campus events or activities.
  15. Answers main switchboard and relieves receptionist as needed.
  16. Provides backup support for areas during summer vacations.
  17. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree preferred
or
High school diploma or GED; at least 2-3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
