DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Strategic Change and Operations’ (SCO) is part of the Markets, Banking, Payments, and Resolution (MBP&R) Deputy Governorship. Its mission is to support and challenge the deputy governorship to achieve high quality outcomes and an inclusive and agile working culture. We lead across several key areas and work in partnership with the business to design and operate frameworks, processes, and systems to deliver objectives across both Business as usual (BAU) work and change.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant whilst also completing the Microsoft Data Essentials Level 3 Apprenticeship programme. This is aligned to the Data Technician (Level 3) apprenticeship standard and includes the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.
The successful candidate will work in the Change Planning Team, within Strategic Change and Operation’s Change Delivery Division. We are responsible for business as usual (BAU) system change across Markets and Banking divisions. Tasks range from data administration, analysis, and reporting, through to assessing, prioritising, and managing changes to completion.
The role is a 35-hour week, including the equivalent of one day per week towards the qualification. Core online working hours are 10:00-16:00 within a 7-hour working day, and there is an expectation you will work on-site at least two days per week. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship’s end point assessment, the role will become full-time within the Change Planning team.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We work with business teams and the Bank’s IT department, to assess, prioritise, plan and safely manage changes into key Bank systems . Activities include:

  • Collecting, handling, and processing data relating to business and IT change requests.
  • Compiling and confirming data to support change prioritisation and decision making, regular risk analysis and reporting.
  • Ensuring Change Requests are up to date and accurately prioritised. This includes document administration, preparing outputs for monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly reporting, and supporting or running meetings with our business contacts.
  • Becoming an authority for administrative tasks and reporting in the Jira, Confluence, and Tableau systems. You will also support IT and process-based changes to these systems. This will increase into use of Power BI during the lifetime of the apprenticeship.
  • Building knowledge and understanding of how our systems are used by different business areas.
  • Supporting the team with project related tasks. This will eventually lead to you planning and coordinating system changes into live environments.
  • Ad-hoc queries, reporting, and internal customer support. This includes maintaining the team mailbox, Tableau, Jira and Confluence, setting up internal meetings, taking minutes, tracking actions, and IT tickets.

This role offers a base salary of circa £24,400 . In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
