Lynden International Logistics ULC is seeking a motivated Administrator Assistant to join our team in Delta, BC.
POSITION LOCATION/DEPARTMENT: Customer Service
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Supervisor
WORKING SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
WORK LOCATION: 7403 Progress Wy, Delta, BC V4G 1E7
SUMMARY:
This position will provide support to the customer service team and various departments, and perform other administrative functions in an office environment. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and detail oriented to join our dynamic team! We are looking for an individual who has the ability to handle interruptions and shifting priorities with ease. If this describes you, then you are the person we are looking for.
SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Fluent in both English and French languages (if required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and pleasant telephone manner
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, customers, staff and management
- Ability to handle stressful situations and a high diverse volume of work
- Neat, thorough and possesses excellent time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills a definite asset when working with different client levels
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Minimum education required:
Secondary school diploma
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3 years experience in customer service or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
Plus 3 months on-the-job training
Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing phone calls for customer service and office team
- Assist customer service team enter orders & returns
- Providing support to all departments and other administrative staff
- Perform filing of paperwork and prepare invoices for mailing
- Acting as an office coordinator for office equipment maintenance issues
- Maintaining the office workspace and ordering office supplies
- Planning and coordinating events with our social committee and others
- Performing other administrative tasks as required
