SUMMARY:

AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a Full-Time, permanent Administrative Assistant to assist our Marketing team in our Calgary main office. Working with AGAT Laboratories, you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering “Service Beyond Analysis.” Our ideal candidate is a dynamic team player and is willing to assume new duties as required. You will be providing administrative and general support to the team to ensure the smooth running of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Bookkeeping, accounting, AR/AP experience is essential
  • Previous administration experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in a MS Office environment (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent planning, organization, and decision making skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude required
  • Detail oriented - especially in a marketing capacity
  • Position may entail exposure to confidential and sensitive information; confidentiality required
  • Previous Customer Service, Sales, and/or Marketing experience considered an asset
  • The ability to work in both individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
    Work Environment: This position requires a person to sit for prolonged periods of time. Manual dexterity is required to perform this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to management and marketing teams
  • Bookkeeping, reviewing and summarization of business reports is essential
  • Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and documents
  • Meeting scheduling and calendar management
  • Preparation of meeting and presentation materials
  • Take meeting minutes for key discussions
  • Review standard operating procedures; provide assistance in implementing improvements where necessary
  • Greeting guests and visitors and ensuring sign-in and security
  • Answering phones, taking inquiries, and transferring calls
  • Be involved in event planning and execution
  • Assist with travel bookings
  • Other administrative tasks as required
