Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at the CN Campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba and reporting directly to the Facility Manager, the Administrative Assistantposition is a key to the operation of the CN training campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful candidate will ensure effective and efficient coordination of Reception and program support activities. They will be responsible for assisting the logistics team, which operates with time sensitive data to support training delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role, logistics and facility planning preferred.
  • Availability to work between the hours of 8am – 5pm
  • Strong professional acumen.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, effective oral and written communication in English
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, internet)
  • SAP knowledge is considered an asset
  • Successful completion of E-Railsafe training requirements, inclusive of criminal background check conducted by the employer.
  • Effective decision making and analytical skills

Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk: Reception duties including student and instructor requests. Responsible for check-in including student pictures and ID cards. Provide IT keyboards, lockers, safety boots and other items as requested. Assist with student issues. Responsible for the Evacuation Site warden
  • Ordering: Maintaining and forecasting all non-safety supply items including but not limited to regular stationary items and stock.
  • Program Support: Provide Program and Schedule support to enable a smooth and effective process. Monitor program materials to ensure sufficient supply within predetermined requirements for all supported programs. Including the control of all loaned campus equipment (portable projectors, etc.).
  • Backup Logistics: Provide administrative support and back up to the Logistics team.
  • Complete any other training that is required.
  • May be required to perform other duties assigned by Facility Manager or CN.
