Description:
General Information:
The Utilities Division has an immediate opening for a temporary full time Administrative Assistant - Operations. This temporary assignment is anticapted to be for one year. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Utilities Division, the Administrative Assistant - Operations, provides secretarial and related administrative support services to the Utilities Division, including meeting co-ordination, correspondence preparation, project file and records management and coding all water management invoices. The incumbent assists in general office administrative activities by generating reports, inputting of data and responding to the public on general inquiries related to the Utilities Division.
Qualifications:
- Secondary School graduation plus completion of a clerical / secretarial training program.
- Four years practical training in an administrative or clerical environment.

Hours of Work:
Guaranteed 35 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position may be required to attend some evening and weekend meetings. This position is eligible for Flex Time but not Work From Home.
Salary:
Wage rate in 3 steps as per the Collective Agreement between the CVRD and CUPE Local 358, $34.70 - $35.70 - $36.76 per hour (January 1, 2024 rates). Benefits are included as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
