Description:
TEMPORARY PART-TIME (14 MONTH ASSIGNMENT)

Our People & Culture department is looking for a temporary part-time exempt Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team for approximately fourteen (14) months. The responsibilities for this position will include:
- Performing a wide variety of confidential administrative tasks such as:
- drafting and editing correspondence and reports;
- recording, tracking, and administrating a variety of data, correspondence, and information;
- data entry and reports using confidential HRIS and applicant tracking systems (we use PeopleSoft HCM, Microsoft Office, eDocs Records Management and PeopleAdmin);
- other confidential administrative support to the People & Culture department;
- Providing front desk reception for internal and external queries related to People & Culture Services; and,
- Performing other related duties as required.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to multi-task, effectively balance priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff at all levels of the organization and the public, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
We are seeking a candidate who has relevant work experience in an administrative role, preferably within a Human Resources or People & Culture team; post-secondary courses in human resources or public administration; expertise using a variety of computer software programs and human resources systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC). Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.
