ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / PROFESSORSHIP ASSISTANCE

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant for the scientific research group Synthetic Biophysics (www.lemkelab.com) at the Faculty of Biology at the JGU. The research group provides an international environment that is active in research and higher education which also coordinates the new center for Synthetic Genomics (www.syn-gen.de).
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of third-party funded projects, incl.
- Calculation of project costs for personnel and material expenses
- Budget coordination
- Editorial coordination of project applications as well as interim and final reports
- Managing budget funds and third-party funds for personnel and material purposes
- Procurement of technical equipment and chemicals and arranging repairs, including independent invoice processing
- General administrative and related office matters such as quote procurement, purchasing, invoicing
- Supplementary personnel matters of the research team and the network, e.g.
- Organization of business trips and reimbursement of travel expenses
- Preparation and monitoring of contracts
- Support in the organisation of lectures, seminars, student training events, courses, conferences, guest speaker seminars and workshops
- Support in preparing and polishing of teaching material
- Public relations work (such as maintenance of web pages, incoming and outgoing correspondence, etc.)
- Independent writing of documents in German and English
