Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in NEW HYDE PARK, New York for a non profit health services company. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for data entry, updating information in a proprietary database, preparing spreadsheets, and handling various administrative tasks. Your role will be vital in maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurate data input and updating information in a proprietary database
Preparation and management of monthly allowances spreadsheets
Maintenance and organization of tracking systems, including Microsoft Excel databases
Generation and distribution of internal memos, postings, and other printed materials
Handling processing of incoming and outgoing mail, including receiving, reading, sorting, and distributing
Ordering necessary supplies and equipment for the organization
Updating Financial Eligibility and monitoring of balances
Recording minutes at all trainings, presentations, and staff meetings when requested
Responding to, screening, and routing incoming telephone calls, as well as relaying phone messages to support staff

Preparation of monthly SNAP retrieval spreadsheets.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to manage and maintain spreadsheets
  • Experience in answering inbound calls and making outbound calls
  • Proficient in data entry tasks
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
