Description:
We are in search of an Administrative Assistant to be a part of our team in the healthcare industry, specifically within hospitals and social assistance. The role is based in BOHEMIA, New York, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in a hybrid work environment. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient operations within our team, which will include handling customer service, data entry, scheduling appointments, and various other office duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, serving as the first point of contact for our clients and patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all customer information is up-to-date and accurate in our databases.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, managing the calendars of healthcare professionals within our team.
- Contribute to our diversity recruitment efforts by assisting in the hiring process.
- Handle email correspondence professionally, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages as necessary.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) to create documents, prepare reports and presentations, and manage data.
- Assist with other administrative duties as required, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
- Work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience in managing inbound and outbound calls
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Strong data entry skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent written communication skills, including email correspondence
- Ability to schedule and manage appointments effectively
- Experience in diversity recruitment would be beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with healthcare, hospital, or social assistance industry protocols is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
