Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills? Currently studying for a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice? We invite you to apply for the role of Administrative Assistant with the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
This position offers a dynamic and supportive environment, where you’ll be responsible for maintaining electronic files, preparing correspondence, and managing team workflows. You’ll be a key player in ensuring tasks are processed efficiently, liaising daily with the Assistant Manager, Compliance Officers and Compliance Administrators. Additionally, you’ll handle incoming calls, support diary management, and assist with data input and reporting using Excel.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient administrative service to the Applicant Investigations Unit. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will undertake office administrative duties and provide an efficient support service within department. Applicant Investigations is a small team within SLAB. You will liaise closely on a daily basis with the Assistant Manager, three Compliance Officers and four Compliance Administrators for assistance and guidance and regarding workloads and schedules. Due to the nature of the work within the team, you will also have occasional contact with members of the other departments within the Operations Directorate.
