SKILLS:

High school diploma or GED is required. Minimum three (3) years of experience is required with one (1) year of general office administration; use of word processor software and electronic mail applications; and spelling, oral communication, and writing. Must be able to type 50 words per minute at 90% accuracy. Experience with MSWord, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat preferrable.
Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction. Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired. Must be able to obtain Public Trust and valid Driver’s License. Must maintain acceptable DMV record.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates working knowledge of office procedures, operations, and practices. Performs related administrative duties such as answering telephone, referring callers or furnishing information; greeting visitors; filing documents; operating copying machine; and, distributing or preparing documents to be mailed. Perform records management such as storing or shredding documents in accordance with records management guidelines. Create documentations such as correspondence, reports, and other material with responsibility for sentence structure, grammar, and spelling. Uses PC-based word processing software such as Microsoft Word, other Microsoft Office programs, and electronic mail applications. Arrange meetings; anticipate need for information and prepare material as requested. Follow up on projects resulting from meetings to ensure that internal office tasks and schedules are met. Assist with creating travel orders, vouchers, and other documents as needed. Provides assistance to support budget, personnel and payroll functions. Assist in devising office procedures and practices. Maintain needed office supplies, equipment, publications, and forms. Identify deficiencies to contract Program Manager. Provide back-up support to customer as needed.
