WHAT SKILLS DO YOU BRING?

  • Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and software applications within MS Office Suite (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Teams), SharePoint and VISIO
  • Must possess sound judgement; excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • Requires knowledge of business administration concepts and practices combined with a sound knowledge of modern office methods, procedures, practices and equipment as well as research methods and techniques.
  • Post-secondary office administration education or the equivalent combined with several years of progressively senior experience in an office administrative capacity.
  • Experience within the transit industry is an asset.
  • Requires experience providing senior management with administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head, Light Rail Operations the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support such as planning and coordinating the daily activities of the Head’s Office, maintaining follow up system and monitoring priorities for the Light Rail Operations Department in an efficient and effective manner. The incumbent coordinates the preparation of responses to internal and external communication requests; researches information and reports; carries out special assignments as directed; maintains a central filing system and provides assistance with budget preparation and advice regarding office procedures and corporate policies. Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment and helps to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies. Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.
