Description:
The Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Academic Administrative Officer. The post supports academic administration for the Department’s undergraduate and full time taught students, primarily in the area of administration of undergraduate courses.
The Department currently hosts three undergraduate degrees and one full time master’s degree (MSc in Advanced Computer Science). The undergraduate degrees combined have an intake of around 120 per year, and the MSc an intake of around 60 students. Academic administration for these courses is undertaken by a small team, each with their primary responsibilities, but members of the team support each other to ensure that there is a good workload distribution at busy times of the year. The primary role of the Administrative Assistant is to provide support for the delivery of teaching and assessment for undergraduates.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for academic staff and students for undergraduate academic administration queries. This will include providing advice on routine departmental and University policies and procedures.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 30th September 2024. Interviews are expected to be held in October.
