JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Assistant will have a rewarding career opportunity to be part of a large financial bank and working closely with top executives within the organization. This Administrative Assistant position, reporting to the Chief Operational Risk Officer, will serve as a key administrative partner and play a critical role in enabling success within the organization.
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and competent Administrative Assistant to provide complex and highly confidential administrative services to the Chief Operational Risk Officer of U.S. Bank. This role regularly exercises judgment and discretion in the execution of responsibilities that include proactively managing calendars, scheduling meetings, interacting with multiple stakeholders, and relieving the executive of administrative detail.
The ideal candidate will work to understand and anticipate needs, quickly assess complex situations, and have experience in partnering with executive-level leadership. They will help ensure the Operational Risk group is efficient and flexible to execute mission-critical activities. The candidate will partner and collaborate with other Administrative Assistants to help ensure the priorities and deliverables are effectively and completely met.
This role will coordinate meetings, presentations, travel arrangements, meeting agendas and offsite events. The ideal candidate is comfortable with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) along with other software packages. In addition, duties include composing correspondence, prepare business reports and expense reports, and conduct special projects as directed.
To be successful in this Administrative Assistant role, you will need to be extremely detail oriented, professional, highly organized, and motivated, and you must be able to work collaboratively and independently. You will need to anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot issues of concern or significance, exercise discretion to provide timely information and necessary updates, and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
Business acumen, process orientation and a strategic and analytical mindset will be key to your success. Working well with diverse personalities and styles is critical.

PREFEFFED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five to eight years of experience providing administrative support to executive management in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, and adaptability to meet changing demands
  • Superior interpersonal and external communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and the highest professional ethics and confidentiality
  • Proven track record of effectively representing and interacting with senior level management
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Skilled at interpreting and analyzing complex information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • In-depth knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the executive’s function
  • Well-developed ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Versatile and action oriented
  • The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there is an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days
