The Administrative Associate for Billing is a vital part of the Administrative team that pays particularly close attention to the functions related to the prebilling and processing of claims. We are looking to add on a full-time team member who is scheduled for forty hours a week, Monday through Friday. After training, the position will be mostly remote except for training or meeting days in the Home Office in Westwood, MA. For this reason, you must be within a 50 mile radius of Westwood, Massachusetts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- 1-2-years’ experience utilizing an electronic medical record preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude and energetic personality
- Computer and technologically savvy
- Ability to multitask
- Excel in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment prone to continuous improvement and changes
Responsibilities:
- Works with Pathways’ Clinical Liaisons and Clinical Managers to obtain the necessary documentation and facilitate face-to-face encounters within the required time frame.
- Works with the Prebill team to perform claims audits.
- Completes weekly/monthly reporting and referral tracking.
- Maintains strict compliance to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and patient privacy.
- Attends and participates in in-person training as necessary at Home Office.
- Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate team member.
- Maintains a good working relationship with all team members
- Participates in cross training & coverage
