This is an in-office role reporting to Intercare’s Van Nuys Clinic.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 6 months of experience in an administrative position (office manager, receptionist, assistant, client-facing customer service role, etc)
- Some completed college coursework required
- Experience working with special needs education and/or children
- Bilingual skills valued (Spanish preferred)

Job Description
The role of the Administrative Behavior Technician is multifaceted, encompassing both direct programming responsibilities and supplemental administrative duties within our clinic environments. This hybrid position not only involves delivering direct programming interventions to clients but also extends to providing crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of our clinics. Beyond their direct involvement in client sessions, Administrative Behavior Technicians play a pivotal role in maintaining the functional efficiency of the clinic by assisting with various administrative tasks and contributing to the overall coordination, organization of daily activities, and customer service of our clients and client families. In essence, the ABT embodies versatility and adaptability essential to the success of our centers.
Reports to: Center Operations Specialist
Responsibilities:
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Front Desk Support: Greet and check in clients.
- Provide Spotter Service: Offer coverage for bathroom breaks, ensuring continuous support if a Behavior Interventionist (BI) requires a break.
- Opening and/or Closing Support: Conduct room checks to ensure cleanliness and tidiness.
- Telephone Support and Cancellation/Rescheduling Support: Assist with phone inquiries and manage cancellations or rescheduling requests.
- Site Scheduling: Handle site scheduling, call routing, and ensure coverage.
- Stimuli Preparation: Prepare stimuli materials as required.
- Late Arrival and Early End Coverage and Support: Provide support in cases of late arrivals or early session endings.
- Vendor Support - Facilities Maintenance: Coordinate with facilities maintenance vendors for necessary support and upkeep.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- An Interventionist provides direct services to individuals with autism disorders, implementing clinical programs for each client under the supervision of a Program Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor.
- Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, implement each client’s clinical treatment programming and behavior intervention strategies by providing one-on-one direct intervention and therapy services to individuals with autism and related disorders
- Maintain punctual, consistent, reliable schedule with clients
- Provide autism and ABA education and training to primary caregivers and family members, in their native language as necessary
- Produce required administrative and clinical paperwork with accuracy and timeliness
- Comply with company’s policies, procedures, timelines and budgets

It may take 6-8 weeks to build up your client case load as we match you with clients appropriate to your new hire skill level, geography and schedule availability. You must be willing to drive 20 to 40 miles a day. Although we try to place you with clients that are geographically close to home for you, convenience is NOT guaranteed. Drive time between clients is paid and mileage between clients is reimbursed. Work is conducted in the client home, in-school, or in-clinic in alignment with the availability you’ve provided, when clinician and client family schedules allow, or if relevant to the client treatment program goals.
