    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Behavioral Health Inpatient team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to teamwork. As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will support the Nurse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’sdegree in nursing.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • 3 years clinical experience preferred

  • Responsible for daily operations ensuring that policies, practices, procedures, and standards are followed in providing care.
  • Manages patient throughput daily to ensure safe placement of patients in the right bed the first time.
  • Provides input for the development of departmental budgets.
  • Assists in the development of department staffing schedules; reviews Vision ware daily and makes appropriate staffing adjustments to meet staffing targets.
  • Reviews and edits timekeeping and scheduling systems daily.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills when rounding daily on patients, staff, doctors and waiting areas and addresses any issues and concerns as they arise.
  • Ensures education is provided to staff as needed, assists in tracking adherence to all mandatory education and assists with staff development.
