Description:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal education program preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or English with 3 years legal experience.
Requires exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write persuasively.
Must have excellent skills in Microsoft computer applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Requires ability to interact with management on every level, to act independently and to maintain the highest degree of ethical and professional standards.
The ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
Must be efficient and highly organized with a high-level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments from different directors.

A highly motivated and positive individual with strong listening and analytical skills.

Supplemental Information
This is an exempt unclassified position that reports to the Deputy Administrative Director, Legal Services. This position is 100% onsite. The starting salary range, which is commensurate with experience, is $66,800 - $78,000.

Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Prepares, edits, proofreads and finalizes confidential correspondence, memoranda, reports, and documents on a wide variety of topics. Ensures accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established standards.
Drafts, edits, reviews standard operating procedures and executive summaries.
Conducts legal research.
Organizes and coordinates deadlines of projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. May be assigned special projects.
Maintains office records, files, and databases, organizing information for easy access and retrieval.
Helps implement efficient systems to streamline office processes.
Assists in scheduling meetings, conference rooms, travel, meals and conference calls.
Prepares and distributes meeting materials.
Serves as backup to the Administrative Director’s Executive Assistant.
Performs other duties as assigned.
