JOB SUMMARY
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Administrative Program Assistant position for the Department of Microbiology at Oregon State University (OSU).
This position will function as the Graduate Program Assistant for the Department of Microbiology, and report to the Assistant to the Microbiology Department Head. The Graduate Program Assistant will be responsible for working with faculty, graduate students, and the Microbiology Graduate Affairs Committee to coordinate the Microbiology graduate program.
The primary mission of the OSU Microbiology Department is to provide a program of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral education in microbiology and to conduct research and scholarly activities in the diverse fields of microbiological study. The department offers (H)BS degrees in Microbiology and BioHealth Sciences, and MS and PhD degrees in Microbiology. The department has about 24 faculty members (tenure-track and fixed term), 40 graduate students and approximately 900 undergraduate majors.
