Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A baccalaureate degree.

Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPERVISORY DUTIES (20%):

  • Coordinate and perform administrative support functions.
  • Work with nursing supervisor to manage activities of subordinate clerical staff in various clinics.
  • Collaborate with Regional Leadership on personnel issues, policy changes, clinic procedures, and implementation of changes and policies.
  • Make recommendations to improve department operations
  • Organize, review, evaluate work assignments, and rotates staff, ensuring smooth clinic

operations.

  • Assist with policy and procedure interpretation according to OPH guidelines.
  • Interview prospective clerical employees and recommend new hires.
  • Approve leave requests, evaluate subordinate performance, and counsel employees on work related issues.
  • Supervise training, orientation and development of employees
  • Provide clerical support to other clinics as needed
  • Serve as a back-up for staff vacancies within Region 3.

  • The incumbent accepts additional duties not listed in the job description as necessary for the smooth operation of the Unit.
