QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) year secretarial experience required, preferably within a hospital setting
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Excel, Word

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shift- 8:30am 4:30pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, and appointments for the Patient Access team.
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Assisting with budget tracking and expense reports
  • Coordinating itineraries for the Patient Access Director
  • Maintaining office equipment and arranging for repairs when necessary
  • Supporting special projects and initiatives within the Patient Access Department
  • Organizing and maintaining confidential files and records
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes
  • Providing administrative support during departmental audits and inspections
  • Facilitating communication between departments and external partners
  • Assist with patient inquiries and direct the inquiry to the appropriate area/personnel for resolution
  • Ordering office supplies and computer hardware when necessary
  • Taking phone calls and messages for the Patient Access Director
  • Collaborating with Human Resources for the recruitment of potential new hires
  • Arranging the onboarding, orientation, and training of new hires
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of volunteers
  • Demonstrating good communication and customer service skills
  • Performing all other duties as directed by the Patient Access department’s Director and/or Manager
