Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in progressively responsible administrative positions; completion of a diploma in business, supplemented by coursework towards an undergraduate degree in business administration, public administration, or related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Supervisory experience is an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and budget preparation. Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills; the ability to work independently and in a team environment; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships are required. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, proficiency in the Banner Finance and HR or similar systems, and event planning, are assets.
SALARY $59,901 - $70,273 per annum (Non-Bargaining)

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the PGME Manager and working as part of a collaborative team in the Postgraduate Medical Education Office (PGME), the successful applicant will perform a variety of tasks, including coordinating financial, human resources, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, using judgement and initiative. Duties include: reconciling, verifying and monitoring various accounts on a monthly basis, and assisting with the preparation of an annual office budget submission; coordinating human resources activities such as recruitment, onboarding, leave, as well as supervising junior staff positions; coordinating administrative activities for the office; identifying and recommending efficiencies; maintaining an internal procedures manual; planning and coordinating PGME events; working with Media Services (HSIMS) to develop promotional materials; ensuring all activities are carried out within established guidelines, policies, and standards; providing occasional coverage for the PGME Manager, and performing other related duties, as required.
