Description:
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The University of Arizona’s Community Nutrition Education Program within the School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness is seeking a half-time (.50 FTE), two-year position for an Administrative Support Professional to provide reporting and communication support to promote programming across the state. The Community Nutrition Education Program is funded by two federal grants, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) and the Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). Primary duties are to assist with special projects, program communications, development of reports and social media content.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required
- 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous office administrative experience
- Experience with Excel, Hootsuite, Canva and/or Adobe Express
- Experience with maintaining social media content calendar and social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and X.

Responsibilities:
Social Media Support:
- Work closely with the Director and the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences’ Creative Services Team to ensure cohesive messaging to local communities served by the Community Nutrition Education Program. Assist in developing, compiling, writing, and distributing communications and promotional literature including newsletters, flyers, brochures, and social media content. Update social media outlets.
Administrative Support:
- Prepare meeting agendas and take notes. Manage project supplies. Manage the logistics and detailed timelines of projects as assigned.
- Prepare periodic reports on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports.
Event Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and organize events such as orientations, trainings, and workshops for county and campus-based faculty and staff.
- Able to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
- Able to create reports, newsletters, and utilize social media templates.
- Reliable self-starter.
- Organized and can capably coordinate events and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
