Position Summary:
The Administrative Support Team Lead assists the Manager, Administrative Support with coordinating and monitoring daily work flow activities. Assists staff in referrals, assignment of files, workflow development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews work of assigned team members to ensure that critical processes are followed and that production and quality standards are upheld.
  • Ensures practices and procedures are followed by the team.
  • Assuring work flow processes are followed and procedural changes are implemented as appropriate.
  • Recommends changes to workflow for optimal efficiency and amended as needed.
  • Ensures quality and integrity of work product; ensures finished product meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Supports and assists department management as needed.
  • Serves as backup to Administrative Support Manager.
  • Maintains positive working relationship with team members, customers, and other departments.
  • Communicates to Administrative Support Manager any activities or problems within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Escalates issues to manager for resolution.
  • Upholds Crawford Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clerical or administrative experience in medical management or workers compensation; prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Driver’s license is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment including computer, printer, photocopier, etc.
  • Advanced ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage own work.
  • Advanced ability to set and adjust priorities of various responsibilities.
  • Advanced problem solving skills and analytical ability to make decisions based on standard policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Maintains high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, is relative to office files, etc..
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word is required, as well as the ability to convey detailed/important instructions in an accurate manner.
  • Ability to frequently talk or hear on a telephone and receive detailed information through oral communication is required.
  • Exertion up to 20 pounds of force is occasionally required and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Visual activity requirements are those of Clerical Administrative. This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer terminal, extensive reading, operation of machines, and using measurement devices.
