Description:
The Nunavik regional board of health and social services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following permanent position:
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the assistant to the director of administrative services and under the supervision of the coordinator of financial services, the incumbent will be responsible for the purchasing process and system. He/she must comply with the internal purchasing policy as well as that of the MSSS, and meet the various requirements of the Treasury Board.
Your responsibilities also include to:
- Issuing purchase orders ;
- Preparation and follow-up of calls for tender ;
- Publications in SEAO ;
- Development and standardization of purchasing department procedures ;
- Preparation and drafting of contracts ;
- Assist, as secretary, in selection committees ;
- Active development of the purchasing department ;
- All other tasks related to the purchasing process.
She will also carry out various accounting tasks and assist the financial services team in their various mandates.
REQUIREMENTS
- College diploma in administration. However, a combination of experience and other training may be considered ;
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position ;
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite ;
- Excellent knowledge of two of the three languages used in the region: inuktitut, english or french ;
- Demonstrate aptitude for teamwork and customer approach ;
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, autonomy and initiative ;
- Experience with Espresso software will be considered an asset ;
- Experience working in a northern region will be considered an important asset.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
