Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Duties will include:

  • File opening and closing procedures
  • General administrative tasks, including arranging client meetings and liaising with third parties, helping with scanning and photocopying where needed
  • Ensuring that various systems are up to date
  • Managing ingoing and outgoing post for the team
  • Electronic filing
  • Downloading and saving documents
  • Issuing client care letters
  • Email correspondence with other law firms
  • Taking minutes for team minutes
  • Assisting with invoicing
  • Diary management for senior lawyers
  • Updating spreadsheets and keeping records
  • Formatting documents
  • Ordering stationary and other office items that might be needed
  • Occasional communication with the office’s landlord
  • Being a point of contact with the central facilities team

Skills & Qualifications
The role will involve communication with clients via the telephone and in person; therefore, excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a good telephone manner.
The successful candidate will be organised, have initiative and be a good team player.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent client care skills in order to deal with sensitive issues involving emotional and vulnerable clients.
