Description:
We have the wonderful opportunity for an Administrator to join us at Briarwood! This is a 6 month, fixed term contract. Briarwood is our assessment unit which supports older adults with a diagnosis of dementia or dementia like symptoms, who are experiencing behaviours that challenge. Our team of experienced Staff Nurses and Support Workers assess individuals with differing diagnoses of dementia such as early onset Alzheimers disease, Korsakoffs dementia and vascular dementia.
The assessment process is usually 12 weeks, with the team working closely with the individual, their families and carers, and other professionals involved in their care. The unit is fast paced but highly rewarding, determining the level of need an individual requires whatever stage they are at, in their dementia journey. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, including reception duties to support the Support Services team. Undertake general administrative duties inclusive of minute taking for internal/external meetings to support the service manager and wider service team members.
Undertake ordering of equipment and supplies, as instructed by the Service Manager or Clinical Lead, to support the wider service. Process referrals from the shared inbox and update on the system to allocate to the correct service to support incoming referrals. Support the Registered Nurse with the administration side of medication system to support the nurse and the client/patient. Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.
About you We would love to hear from you if you possess the following: Demonstrable experience of meeting agreed performance targets. Demonstrable administrative experience Demonstrable experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problems. Demonstrable experience in working with the public either in a healthcare setting, a contact centre environment. Awareness of GDPR Awareness of patient records and confidentiality Developed communication, and written skills Basic numeracy skills Basic ability to problem solve and provide practical solutions Developed ability in MS office and CRM Personal Excellent time management skills Ability to work individually or within a team and foster good working relationships.
