Responsibilities:
The supply management department supports the ALDO Group “Go To Market” calendar owning the process from final customer orders to purchase order approval, including tasks such as building contracts, building analytical reports related to the release, creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers and following up on the acceptance of the purchase orders and reviewing and following up on potential issues during the process of the release. Each member is viewed within the team as a mini project manager through the release as they have the opportunity to have complete ownership over a portion of the release. As the key link between the ALDO Group’s suppliers and other channels, the supply management department serves as the company’s primary point of entry. Members of the department work in close coordination with the supply chain team, the sourcing teams, the vendors, the demand management team, the buying team, and the product development team.
Responsibilities
- Support the supply management team through accurate and timely purchase order creation and confirmation to meet deadlines.
- Build and utilize analytical reports and follow up the advancements of the release to the team leads as well as to follow up and review issues to enable a smooth purchase order release.
- Have ownership of one’s portion of the release (from contract to purchase order acceptance)
- Communicate in a timely manner with accurate information with internal teams located in Montreal or overseas and suppliers over emails and hangout meetings.
- Work closely with the team leads and team members to ensure tasks are being completed properly and on time.
