Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • University degree or College diploma in the field of computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or 8 years equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience supporting server/endpoint systems and associated components.
  • Advanced knowledge of the complete Microsoft software stack including Windows, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Teams etc.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Cloud infrastructure management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Mobile Device Management with Intune (Windows and iOS), SharePoint modern experience and NinjaOne.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server and endpoint hardware.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration.
  • Business process and reengineering experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Exposure to the Real Estate industry is an asset

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

The Administrator, Systems is to design, install, administer, and optimize company infrastructure and related components such as Office365, Azure and Intune to support the high-performance operation of all business and office IT services. This includes ensuring high availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, as well as developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the cloud and on-premises environment. The Systems Administrator also oversees the physical security, integrity, and safety of all corporate hardware devices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • STRATEGY AND PLANNINGDevelops strategies for appropriate server implementations and designs the infrastructure required to support those strategies. Acts as project lead in the design and review of new server systems, applications, and hardware and proactively conducts capacity planning as needed. Leads, coordinates and participates in key process improvements as they relate to the server systems environment. Ensures the availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands. Implements policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure server security.
  • ACQUISITION & DEPLOYMENTConducts research on server/endpoint hardware, software, and associated components in support of procurement and development efforts. Recommends and executes modifications to the server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • SITE AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENTCreates and configures new SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, metadata fields, workflows and forms as required and driven by business. Configure Outlook plugin for Enterprise Content Management provided by Harmon. Configure SharePoint and RecordPoint appropriately to execute retention rules, File Plans, security permissions, custom web parts, advanced search module, data exchange connectors etc. Responsible for global SharePoint configuration, shared services & implementing policies in accordance with IT Policies.
  • TECHNICAL SUPPORTPrioritizes and responds to server-related events and problems through proactive analysis or as identified and escalated by the Help Desk.
  • SERVER PERFORMANCE AND REPORTINGMonitors and tests system performance and provides performance statistics and reports. Defines and implements strategies for integrating disparate operating environments. Develops and maintains server configuration documentation.
  • CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENTMaintain, deploy and strategize server operations in the cloud.
  • Any other job related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
