  • Possesses excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Is a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Is proficient in using computer applications, including experience with electronic medical record systems a plus.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a Permanent Full Time position as an Admissions and Waitlist Officer. In this role, you willl be the first point of contact for parents and carers. This is a pivotal role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for our young patients.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Maintaining accurate waitlists for elective surgeries and procedures, prioritising patients based on clinical need.
  • Admitting patients for surgery, ensuring all paperwork is complete and liaising with families on the day of admission.
  • Working closely with medical and nursing staff, the Hospital Bed Manager, and various departments to coordinate admissions and bed allocation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information in our electronic medical record system (Epic) and Patient Administration System (IBA).
  • Providing exceptional customer service to families, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
